Hot Dog!

Harper's friend Kaitlyn was over visiting a couple nights ago and the girls watched an episode of Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Their attention wavered during the show itself but when the "Hot Dog" song came on at the end they couldn't stop dancing. I think we replayed the song 6 times for them. Had to capture the moment....

Christmas comes early!

This was our first year hosting Thanksgiving. I can say hosting in that we sat at our dining room table and we cooked the bird but we had so many people contributing to the wonderful meal it was half the chaos I used to watch as a kid growing up. I can't believe we did not get a picture of the group or the table in all it's bounty....next year!

Harper of course posed for her Thanksgiving day picture ....

Noni, Papa and Grandma Karen came over the mountains to spend the holiday with us. I know Harper had a wonderful time with them and for her the best part, more people to read her books! This girl can't get enough....

Boppa and Grammy passed by for a quick visit before Uncle Cale's football game. They brought some of Harper's Christmas presents so mommy and daddy wouldn't have to haul them home. One gift was Harper's own little Tinkerbell chair. She loves to sit and watch a show or read a book.....
Noni and Papa brought over their Christmas presents for Harper as well. Harper was a lucky girl with Christmas coming early this year and she was able to open her neigh - neigh, she absolutely loves going for a ride.

The dogs do their job in checking out this strange new animal and protecting Harper during her ride....
Harper petting her pretty horse....
She promised me she would write her own thank you cards this year since mommy is so horrible at it.

Pumpkin Time...

The fall is upon us...

Don't you love this time of year!

We recently visited the pumpkin patch with our Auntie Chelle, Uncle Greg and our cousins Courtney and Makenna. We had such a great time!

Harper checking out the pumpkins....
Making our way through the corn maze....

Harper had 2 costumes this year. Harper's cousin Makenna loaned us her puppy dog costume that Auntie Chelle made.
This was our "school" costume....

Harper's friend Kaitlyn also had a puppy dog costume. We tried once again to get our Halloween shot together (this will become an annual attempt) and still haven't mastered getting both kiddos to look and smile and the camera at the same time.

Halloween 2009...

Halloween 2008...
On Halloween day Harper dressed up as Princess Leia and mommy and daddy were some crazy characters from the movie "Dodgeball"

2009 Christmas Card...

Harper out trick or treating...

We went trick or treating pretty early with our cousins Allie and Josh so we didn't round up too much candy, but Harper thought it was the best thing ever.

Here's a short little video of her having a great time and also illustrates how big the costume was, I think we have a future as Princess Leia in 2010 as well....

Life in Slow Motion?

Is it possible to stop how fast our little one is growing up? I know everyone has said it happens so quickly, but we never realized how fast they truly meant....

Keeping Busy....

Yes it has been well over a month since my last post....at least we're consistent! We've been enjoying our time with little Miss Harper so much I've lost track of time.

What's new...

Harper is crawling with the best of them...she started making her move around the beginning of June. She's pulling herself up on everything and "cruising" around the couches, tables, etc. She's been caught standing on her own a few times but not consistently yet. We made the run to babies'r'us and have hopefully taken proper steps to prevent any major accidents down the death trap known as our stairs (if you've seen them you understand).

We just recently returned from a 2 week vacation at Eagle Crest with Boppa, Grammy, Uncle Cale, Auntie Lori and Josh and Allie. Such a great time that went by way too fast.
Now we are just trying to beat the heat, why did we decide to wait on that AC unit again?

Can't believe we are just a little over a month away from celebrating our first birthday!

Pics to catch up....
Meeting Great Grandpa....
Exploring the great outdoors....
Enjoying time in the pool....
Greeting Mommy and Daddy in the morning....
Practicing our pirate face....
Just being cute....

Nine Month Photo Shoot

Harper had the opportunity to have her nine month photos taken by a local photographer who is looking to expand her "baby" business. We have not yet previewed the full photo shoot, but she sent along some previews.....

Harper was also joined by her cousin Ashton for part of the shoot. Ashton is my cousin Courtney's little girl who was born the day before Harper....we call them twins from another mother. Here are a few previews from that part of the shoot as well.....

Can't wait to see them all!

Time with the Family

In true fashion, I am just now posting pictures from 3 weeks ago...but I'm getting a wee bit better.

We made a trip to Vancouver to celebrate our nephew Josh's first birthday. He celebrated with his cake in true 1st birthday style......

Harper and Josh spent some more time getting to know each other.....I love this sequence of pictures, although it looks like he did, Josh didn't actually push Harper over she did this on her own.....

For Memorial Day weekend we traveled over the mountains to visit the east side.
Harper enjoyed spending time with her cousins Courtney and Makenna, she was very entertained with them....
She also received many hugs and kisses from all of her family.....
With Noni and Papa.....

Daddy and Grandpa Rick.....

Great Grandma Karen.....

Dancing with Uncle Greg......

Several times we have discussed that we need to have a family photo taken, so we thought hey we're all together let's try this on our own. It was a beautiful day in Spokane so we made a short trip to the Bowl and Pitcher.....

The full family attempt (with Auntie Chelle taking the picture)....

I would say we are still in need of having a family photo taken, and Michelle you don't get to escape this time :)
